About the Photographer & Portfolio
Who will be our wedding photographer?
At your wedding, it’ll be me – Radek – personally by your side with my camera from the preparations right through to the late-night party. I promise you’ll receive top-notch service and can count on me every single minute of your day.
Where are you based?
I’m based in Manchester, UK, but as a destination wedding photographer I’m often on the move – chasing those perfect moments wherever the season takes me. Whether it’s a cosy celebration in the North West or an adventurous overseas wedding, I’m ready to travel and capture your special day.
How do we know you’re a good photographer?
Please take a look at my wedding photo gallery and see for yourself. You can also read the reviews from my clients – the couples and their loved ones – who I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Their testimonials are available in the ‘Testimonials’ section and on my official Google profile. Since 2004, when I shot my first wedding, I’ve documented over 500 weddings and receptions. Working with so many couples with varying preferences has given me the practical, artistic and intuitive skills I use on every wedding. My portfolio speaks for itself – have a look and see what you can expect.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
In 2004, I turned my part-time passion for photography into a full-time career. Since then, I’ve documented over 500 first kisses, along with countless engagement and wedding sessions.
Where can we see examples of weddings you’ve photographed?
I’ve set up a special section on my website called “Blog” to showcase the weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. These galleries feature images from start to finish – from the couple’s preparations right through to the late-night celebrations. I’ve also started a blog where I share updates on weddings and offer advice for future newlyweds. Please, have a look.
We’d love to meet you, but we don’t live in the same city/country – is there a way?
Most couples, especially when distance is an issue, book me without meeting in person. I respond to emails and calls very quickly, and I can answer most questions remotely. For those who can’t meet face-to-face, I’m more than happy to arrange a video call via WhatsApp, Messenger, Signal or Viber – it’s all very easy and comfortable these days.
Photography Style & Approach
What’s your photography style?
My wedding photography style is ‘creative documentary’ – I’m a creative photographer who tells genuine love stories. On your big day, I’ll aim to capture it as if you were watching it through your own eyes. I put a lot of energy into creative portraits and sessions, constantly seeking out interesting angles, light and backdrops. I use my unique techniques to transform wedding portraits into little works of art. All the photos you see on my site come from real weddings and portrait sessions.
What is reportage wedding photography?
Reportage wedding photography is an honest, candid style. I won’t be directing you or making you pose all day – you’re free to enjoy your wedding while I capture a series of images that truly tell the story of your day.
What does a documentary wedding photographer capture?
I’ll photograph every moment throughout the day, focusing on the perfect use of light, composition and timing. The moments I capture are genuine and often fleeting, creating an authentic record of your wedding day.
What are “unplugged weddings”?
If you’re inviting guests to your wedding, it’s not so they can take photos (unless arranged beforehand), but to relax, have fun and celebrate with you, your friends and family. Sometimes the invitation even asks guests not to take photos during the key moments – and to leave the smartphones in their pockets. That way, everyone can fully enjoy the day while the photography is left to a professional.
Should we provide you with a list of shots to capture before the wedding?
That won’t be necessary. My expertise as a professional wedding photographer lies in creatively and effortlessly capturing every aspect of your day – from the dress, jewellery, shoes, flowers, food, to the décor. While some wedding magazines and blogs might suggest a list, most experienced photographers would agree that working from a long list on the day is nearly impossible. I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings – so trust my guidance.
How do you make the couples you photograph feel so at ease in front of the camera?
Many couples in my portfolio are initially a bit hesitant about showing their emotions in front of a stranger. But my relaxed approach and avoidance of unnatural “poses” seem to work every time. It also helps if you treat me like a friend you’ve invited to your wedding. A pre-wedding meeting or an engagement session can really help us get to know each other. For me, it’s a genuine pleasure to get to know the couples I work with.
My partner feels awkward in front of the camera. Can you help?
Believe me, you’re not alone – many people feel uneasy in front of the camera. Try to think of me as a friend you’ve invited to your wedding. A pre-wedding meeting or an engagement (or pre-wedding) session can really help us get comfortable with each other. On the day, I blend into the background so the photos remain natural and unforced – the only thing that sets me apart from your guests is my camera! With my documentary approach, you’ll both be at ease within the first half-hour. Just be yourselves, as natural as you are with your loved ones, and I’ll take care of the rest.
Booking, Pricing & Packages
How do we book you for our wedding or photo session?
The first step is to send me a message through my website with the key details – your names, the date and location of your wedding or session. I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible to confirm availability. You can also share your wedding plans and expectations with me. I recommend using digital channels (WhatsApp, Messenger, Signal, Viber) as they make communication so much easier these days. Once you’re 100% sure you want me to capture your most beautiful day, we’ll sign a contract and reserve your date. All booking and payment procedures are handled online, with a £400 deposit due upon signing and the balance payable four weeks before your wedding or session.
Can you provisionally reserve our wedding or session date?
I can only guarantee the date after receiving the deposit and signing the contract. However, if you’re the first couple to express interest in a particular date, I can hold it for you for 48 hours. This gives you priority should another couple enquire about that same day. As I only accept one booking per day, this ensures that I’ll be the one exclusively capturing your wedding or session.
We love your photos and style, but you’re out of our budget – can you still help us?
Of course! Before you make any decisions, please contact me via the form on my website or give me a call, and we can discuss a custom wedding photography package. Remember, a day like yours only happens once – those moments are irreplaceable.
Can you create a personalised wedding photography package for us?
Absolutely – everything can be tailored to your needs. I recommend a meeting to discuss the options, so you can review what’s on offer, choose your preferences, and we can get to know your wedding plans and expectations better.
What are the prices for your wedding photography?
My wedding photography packages start from £1000. I suggest checking out my dedicated wedding photography packages page – “Prices”. For an exact quote, please contact me with your details, wedding date, location and any other specifics that are important to you. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible so we can arrange a consultation to discuss your plans and expectations, and I’ll then present you with a tailored offer.
How many wedding photos will we receive in the package?
Quality always trumps quantity, so I don’t like to guarantee a minimum number of photos. I’d rather deliver a smaller collection of images that leave you absolutely amazed than hundreds of ‘pretty good’ or ‘okay’ shots. On average, I deliver about 400–600 photos that artistically and beautifully capture your big day.
Services & Deliverables
Do you photograph wedding details and family portraits?
Yes, absolutely – a wedding photography collection wouldn’t be complete without the details and family portraits. I capture all the images you’d expect from a wedding photographer, but I also aim to go beyond that by delivering photos you never even imagined.
Do we have to take family photos?
I understand that not everyone is keen on posed family photos on their wedding day. But just imagine the joy for parents and grandparents who’ll treasure having you close by. I always try to capture natural shots with your loved ones that truly reflect your day. When you show your family photos where everyone is relaxed and happy, they’ll love them – and they’ll become timeless keepsakes of those most important moments.
Can we get the RAW, unedited files?
I don’t provide RAW, unedited files for viewing or purchase. They’re essentially unusable until they’ve been edited by a professional photographer – which is exactly what you’re hiring me for. The process of editing and selecting the best shots is what brings the final images to life, and it’s the most time-consuming part of every wedding photography assignment.
Do we have the copyright to all our photos?
In line with industry standards, I retain the copyright to the images. However, you have full rights to print them, share them with family and friends, and post them on your social media. I’d really appreciate it if you’d tag me when you share your photos online, so everyone knows where these amazing images come from! I’d also be grateful if you refrain from altering the photos you publish.
Will all our photos be edited?
Yes. I personally edit every single photo from your wedding using the latest, highest-quality software. I don’t process photos in batches or use mass editing techniques. I prefer to work on each image individually so that you receive pictures as unique as your wedding day. The editing process includes resizing, cropping, adjusting exposure and contrast, reducing noise, adding effects, and overall image enhancement.
Do you offer wedding albums?
Yes, wedding albums are the perfect way to preserve your memories. I offer a range of beautiful, bespoke Italian wedding albums which I design myself, then arrange for printing and deliver straight to you. To see my wedding album selection, please visit my dedicated albums page.
Do you also offer wedding videography?
I don’t offer wedding videography. I focus exclusively on wedding photography to deliver the best possible product. However, I can recommend a videographer who matches your style once we’ve had a chat about your expectations.
How will our wedding photos be delivered?
As part of the wedding photography package, your photos will be delivered on an original USB drive, packaged in a beautiful box. Once they’re ready, I’ll also upload them to a password-protected online gallery in my Client Zone, where your family and friends can access them at any time by entering the password.
How long after the wedding will we receive our photos?
A few days after your wedding, I’ll post a selection of the most important moments on my blog. Since I personally and meticulously edit every photo so they look amazing for years to come, the final delivery takes between 6 and 8 weeks from your wedding day. Once ready, I’ll deliver them on a customised USB memory stick packaged in a beautiful box, and also upload them to a password-protected online gallery in my Client Lounge where your family and friends can access them at any time.
Do you also offer an online gallery?
Yes, every wedding photography package includes an online gallery with all your wedding photos. The gallery is password-protected – you’ll receive the password along with the link. You can view the gallery from your computer’s browser or through a free app (SmugMug) available for both Android and iOS. You’re welcome to share the gallery with family and friends by providing them with the access password. The online gallery will remain available for at least a year from your wedding day.
Do we need to feed you at the wedding reception?
Honestly, no – but I wouldn’t say no to a little bite! After a full day of capturing your wedding, a bit of food is a welcome treat. Plus, sharing a meal with your friends and family helps me get to know you all before the night kicks into full swing. I’m not a picky eater, so I’ll happily join in while you all enjoy your celebration.
Travel & Destination Weddings
Do you offer wedding photography and sessions abroad?
Absolutely! I love travelling and photographing weddings in all sorts of locations – whether large or intimate, in the city or out in nature, across Europe or in more exotic destinations. Capturing my couples against new, unique backdrops is a dream come true. Logistically, I recommend arriving at the venue at least one day early to scout locations and minimise any delays. If I haven’t been to your chosen venue before, I usually ask to come a day early to familiarise myself with your dream spot. All overseas wedding bookings include a photo session the day after the ceremony.
How do we organise your travel for our destination wedding?
You don’t need to worry about a thing. I’ll handle the flight, hotel and transport bookings myself – unless you’d prefer to travel together, in which case we can sort everything out before the trip.
Do you also offer engagement sessions at a location of our choice?
Yes – absolutely. I’d be more than happy to come to you (whether it’s another city or country) to do an engagement session at your dream location.
Experience with Different Wedding Types
Do you offer wedding photography and sessions abroad?
I’ve shot at hundreds of locations, so there’s a good chance I’ve been to your venue before. If not, I’ll arrive early on the day to scout out the best spots for photos. I also do some online research before your big day.
Do you have experience photographing multicultural weddings?
Yes, I’ve lived abroad for many years photographing weddings, and I have a wealth of experience in documenting all kinds of wedding ceremonies. When I photograph multicultural weddings, I love the beauty, uniqueness, and endless blend of traditions, styles and colours. Take a look at my portfolio to get a feel for my style and how your multicultural wedding might look – the possibilities are endless!
Have you photographed Chinese wedding ceremonies?
Yes, I frequently photograph Chinese wedding ceremonies and they always bring me immense joy. There’s something truly special about capturing the vibrant traditions and lively energy of these celebrations. Every Chinese wedding is a brilliant mix of heritage and modern romance – from the intricate tea ceremonies to the colourful banquets. As a dedicated wedding photographer, I love documenting the genuine emotions, stunning details, and unique moments that make your day unforgettable. I take pride in my creative approach and attention to detail, ensuring each image tells your distinctive story.
Equipment & Backup
What kind of photographic equipment do you use for weddings?
A great photographer can capture amazing images of almost anything, but having the right, reliable tools – and knowing how to use them – really makes a difference. I shoot exclusively with professional Nikon gear, including full-frame bodies, fast prime lenses, professional zooms and lighting equipment. Currently, my favourite wedding camera is the Nikon Z9.
Do you have backup photographic equipment?
Always. When photographing such an important day, there’s no room for error. That’s why, before every wedding, I ensure I have duplicate gear. I always carry extra camera bodies, lenses, flashes, and plenty more memory cards and batteries than I actually need. When it comes to your wedding day, over-preparation is key!
Contingency Plans & Insurance
What happens if you fall ill on our wedding day?
Throughout my career, I’ve never had to cancel my attendance at a wedding due to illness. If I’m not critically ill or significantly less mobile, I’ll push through – I even once photographed a wedding with a sprained ankle without compromising the quality of my work. However, in the unlikely event of sudden illness, I always have a backup photographer on standby.
Are you insured?
Absolutely – I’m fully insured, no question about it! I’ve got public liability, products liability, professional indemnity, material damage and equipment insurance in place. I’m covered here in the UK and internationally, so you can rest easy. If you’d like proof, I’m happy to provide a certificate of insurance.
And what if it rains on our wedding day?
One thing you can’t predict 100% is the weather. However, raindrops on your wedding day can provide a fantastic opportunity for unique and creative photos. If your wedding is outdoors, I recommend preparing for the possibility of rain – perhaps even bringing umbrellas. I’d suggest large, transparent or white umbrellas for you and your guests. Photos in the rain, or with umbrellas, can be so enchanting you might even find yourself wishing for a little rain on your day! The best approach is to embrace whatever comes and not worry about the weather. I’ll be there with you, doing everything in my power to ensure your wedding photos are just as you’ve always dreamed – no matter what.
